Love Hz is easily one of the busiest, most creative recording spaces in Australia. Designed from the ground up as a comfortable, creative alternative in Australia's record making landscape. As a home for the talents of some of Australia's best and most experienced producers, and a promising newcomer or two, Love Hz caters for everyone from solo artists to full bands.

Love Hz Studios began in 2003 as the result of a collaboration between Matt Fell and Michael Carpenter, at the time both emerging production talents, working in less than ideal studio situations. They joined forces to create a new recording environment that reflects their relaxed, creative approach to making records. After 18 months of planning, these purpose built rooms (designed by the late great Richard Priddle) have been fully operational since 2004, recording several hundred projects since, including ARIA nominated and Golden Guitar winning albums!

Combining cutting edge digital recording with an incredible collection of traditional, classic, modern and more than a few weird and unusual instruments, Love Hz provides the delicate balance between a creative playground and a relaxed "non studio" recording environment. Love Hz' strength lies in its flexibility. The studios consist of 3 control rooms, 2 booths, a live room, a loft recording/mixing/creative space, and a big, versatile open area, allowing all producers to be working on different projects at the same time. The vocal booths have clear lines of sight into all control rooms. The studio is also large enough to accommodate the tracking of live bands.

Recently, Love Hz welcomed Glenn Schollum and Josh Schuberth into the space, extending the range of experience, instrumental versatility and project flexibity. So, while Love Hz was originally designed specifically for Matt & Michael to have a place to play, the studio has proven to be ideal for independent engineers and producers looking for a comfortable, flexible space to record.
